Laser Vein Treatments Long Island
What is Laser Vein Treatment?
Our Long Island laser vein treatment procedures at J SPA Medical Spa are done using the YAG laser. Dr. Jacono chooses to use the long-pulsed YAG laser to diminish a broad range of visible blood vessels such as deep blue reticular veins and tiny spider veins because it can be done in a quick and safe manner without the need for any painful injections.
Laser Vein Therapy can also treat blood blisters known as hemangiomas, and patients with port wine stains or other vascular lesions may also see benefit from this treatment.
How Does this Treatment Work?
The results are achieved by delivering pulses of light energy from the laser onto the treatment area. This causes the blood within the unsightly vein to coagulate and will eventually destroy the vessel which is later reabsorbed by your body. Once these blood vessels are destroyed, your blood flow will be redirected to deeper veins that are located well below your skin’s surface. This is done safely and without any scarring.
Laser vein treatment is ideal for diminishing the appearance of unwanted veins. The type of veins that can be treated includes telangiectasia which are the small facial veins, spider veins, and the large blue veins typically found in the legs. This treatment is safe and effective for patients of all skin tones so patients with light skin, dark skin, or even tanned skin will see amazing results with minimal downtime or bruising.
Laser vein therapy is generally performed on the legs and face but can be performed on all parts of the body.
Benefits of Laser Vein Treatment in Long Island Include:
- Facial veins
- Spider veins
- Deep blue veins
- No painful injections
- Minimal bruising post-treatment
How Long Do Laser Vein Treatments Results Last?
After one or two treatments, most patient’s results are sufficient when treating smaller facial veins and spider veins. The actual number of treatments required however depends on the number of veins, the veins color, and the actual size of the veins being removed. J SPA Medical Spa patients find that most of the treated veins have shown significant improvement within two to six weeks of treatment. However, your results may not be apparent for several months. Over time, it is possible for new veins to appear. These new veins can be treated as needed.
Am I a Good Candidate for Laser Vein Treatments?
Men and women who want to reduce or eliminate the appearance of unsightly veins on their face, legs, or any other part of their body, may be a good candidate for laser vein treatment. This procedure cannot be used on areas that have tattoos and it will also not work with varicose veins. Our trained estheticians and laser specialists will be able to determine if this procedure is right for you.
