No-Bruise Facial Filler

Restylane®

Restylane® is a dermal filler that has been used by Dr. Jacono and his staff since it was introduced into the market.  So what is Restylane® exactly?  It is a hyaluronic acid (a sugar molecule) that is FDA-approved to help treat face wrinkles and fine lines.

Sculptra®

Sculptra® is an injectable made from a non-harmful synthetic material that is used to treat areas of facial fat loss by restoring volume.

What is the difference between neuromodulators and dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers help to combat static wrinkles and lines that are the result of aging. They can help fill in depressions and plump areas plagued by volume loss. Many dermal fillers, including Juvederm and Restylane, are formulated with naturally derived hyaluronic acid, which helps to hydrate the skin, giving it a more youthful glow. 

Neuromodulators such as BOTOX and Dysport function in a different way. They address dynamic wrinkles that form as a result of repeated muscle contractions. Facial expressions such as smiling, frowning, or squinting leave deep trenches over time, but BOTOX can reverse these creases, making you appear more refreshed and relaxed. Neuromodulators are made with a medically safe form of botulinum toxin type A and work by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that allow the tiny facial muscles to contract.
